Continue toward Bulguksa Temple, the representative landmark of Gyeongju and declared a UNESCO World Cultural Asset in 1995. See more than 10,000 artifacts kept inside the Daereungwon Royal Tomb Complex, including the Cheonmachong Tomb, a terrific dome-shape tomb of an unknown royal member of the Silla Dynasty. Take a coffee break upon arriving in Hwangnam-dong before moving on to the Cheomsongdae Observatory. The observatory is the oldest existing astronomical watchtower in Asia and was used to track the movement of the stars for the weather forecast. After, enjoy a hearty lunch at a restaurant in Gyochon Traditional Village before concluding the tour at Donggung Palace – a sight to behold at night with its majestic reflections on the Wolji and Anapji ponds.
